Outlander season 5: Who’s been filming as of late?
Yet, we can at least say that there’s been a newcomer around the Outlander world as of late! On Friday, the recently-cast Mark Barrett (whose role is still unclear) posted an image of himself working somewhere in Scotland. Everything within this image is strategically placed to avoid spoilers. You won’t see any of these trucks in any of the season 5 footage, and there is no glimpse of his costume. If you saw it, that’d be a giveaway that he was potentially a Scottish settler, a relative of some early arrivals from Europe, a British Army member, or something in between.
Earlier this week, meanwhile, Tim Downie posted a photo suggesting that he was on set, and the conditions were a little less than stellar. The photos were two days apart, so we wouldn’t draw any conclusions that the two spent any time together. The conclusion that we would draw is that the series is now deep into its 12-episode production and whatever footage being done now is going to air at least midway through the season, if not later than that. Production first started back in April. With all of the outdoor footage being shot lately, especially in areas that is slightly less forested than some of Fraser’s Ridge, we wonder if we’re going to see throngs of soldiers, settlers, or some sort of new community spawn up. Given what’s coming in the Revolutionary War, season 5 may feel at times more populated than season 4.
What are you the most curious to see onscreen in Outlander season 5?
