Outlander stars Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe hit you with nostalgia

If you missed it, yesterday was a pivotal day within the Outlander world. After all, it was the five-year anniversary of the series first premiering on Starz! It’s been a remarkable five years, given that the show went from being a tremendous gamble for the premium cable network to one of their biggest hits ever. It’s taken the cast to multiple continents in promotion of it, and the best thing is that we’re not at the end of the road just yet. There are at least two more seasons to air, and it could be even more than that depending on how many Diana Gabaldon books the producers and Starz choose to adapt.

We shared with you yesterday a new video recorded by Starz in celebration of the occasion; now, why not hear from some of the leads themselves? If you look HERE, you can see what both Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe had to say on this occasion — they both have unlimited gratitude for the roles of Jamie and Claire Fraser, as they turned them into household names and have allowed them a chance to do things that they may have never been able to otherwise. That includes movie roles during hiatuses and also incredible charity initiatives.
