America’s Got Talent season 14: Ranking Kodi Lee, all Golden Buzzers
Trying to rank out these contestants was no easy feat, but we’re doing it on the criteria of talent, screen time, backstory, the history of similar acts, and of course whether or not we can see America’s Got Talent pushing them heavily in the next round.

9. Light Balance Kids – We love their past routine and feel like it’s probably the best concept of either Light Balance act on this show. Yet, we’ve already seen how this story goes for this sort of act and where it ends. There’s no huge winner upside.
8. Tyler Butler-Figueroa – A great backstory and a lot of fantastic musicianship. Yet, if you take away the backstory, is Tyler on the same level of some of the other great violinists we’ve seen on AGT? He may not be there yet.
7. Emanne Beasha – Opera has a track record of getting acts to the semifinals or the finals, and there’s a chance that Emanne could get there. Yet, it’s hard to see her as a winner when Jackie Evancho couldn’t even pull that off.
6. Joseph Allen – Love his attitude, the way that he performs, and how his music feels current — we like to think that matters with younger voters! He’s really popular online, but his vocals are more limited than the other singers left.
5. Luke Islam – Speaking of which, we think that Luke’s voice can fill up any room, and if he continues to pick songs that are incredibly familiar to viewers then he’s got a great chance of going far … but may not be still a winner favorite.
4. Sophie Pecora – She has an x factor to us (no, not the show X Factor) in that her music is personal and endearing. Like Joseph, she creates much of it herself and we think that her backstory is going to help her connect with viewers. She’s a darkhorse winner candidate, but we’re not writing her off.
3. Detroit Youth Choir – Choirs haven’t won AGT in the past, but what this group has is everything one needs — great music, a sense of style, originality, and also a powerful story about Detroit kids fighting to make their dreams into reality.
2. V. Unbeatable – They are this season’s Zurcaroh — a high-flying acrobatic act with dance components that has blown us away only two performances in. We think it helped them to go to Judge Cuts just because they stepped it up yet again. Keep on this trajectory and they could very well win the show.
1. Kodi Lee – When you look at the viral factor of his audition, his talent, and the backstory all combined, it’s hard to put anyone other than Kodi at the top of the list. It’s been a while since he’s been on AGT, but he will be featured heavily in the live shows.
