Elementary season 7 episode 13 (series finale) spoilers, Moriarty questions

Elementary season 6

Next week on Elementary season 7 episode 13, everything ends. We’re going to see the final episode of the story on CBS, and it’s a big one. To start, you’ve got a showdown between Sherlock Holmes and Odin Reichenbach. Beyond that, you’re also going to have a chance to see Moriarty, somehow, work her way into the story.

CBS is being incredibly coy at the moment regarding whether or not Natalie Dormer will be in the episode. She is not listed in the press release for the episode, but that may be on purpose. Given that she hasn’t appeared on the show in years and she’s a pretty significant movie/TV star at this point, why spoil that in advance?

If Dormer doesn’t appear in the flesh, you can be rest assured knowing that her character will still make an impact. There’s a chance to dive back into the core of who Sherlock Holmes is — a brilliant but also flawed man. CarterMatt has the finale synopsis for you below:

“Their Last Bow” – Amidst Holmes and Watson’s battle with tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach, the investigators receive word of their old enemy and Sherlock’s former love, Jamie Moriarty, on the series finale of ELEMENTARY, Thursday, August 15 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

How do we think Elementary is going to end? In a peaceful way, for starters. For a blueprint for some of what you could see, all you have to do is think about the end of season 6. Back when it was written, the plans then were for it to be a possible series finale. Sherlock and Joan were sent to London thinking that this would be a solid-enough ending to the series. Sure, Sherlock/Joan were away from their friends, but they were safe and could continue to do their work. There could be some bittersweet elements of the series finale with that in mind, but we’re hoping at the same time that there could be a few opportunities for a smile and some joy at the same time.

In the end, we’ll see if there are more surprise cameos and nods to the past within the finale beyond this. Because the writers knew going into this that it was 100% the end, they would be able to go out swinging like never before.
