MasterChef season 10 episode 16 video: Food on the raceway

In what shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone out there, on Wednesday night’s MasterChef you are going to see the home cooks out in the field … and then disaster that comes along with it.

In the video that CarterMatt has for you below, you can get a little slice of insight into what’s coming up. The remaining contestants are being forced to head out to a NASCAR speedway to take part in the next team challenge, which revolves around them having to look for a number of hungry “race fans.” How do you get random race fans to show up for a cooking competition? Good food brings everyone out! The focus here is still simple: Trying to see which team made the better cuisine. You’ve seen similar competitions to this for many years and what you’re getting here is just a different coat of paint. This time around, you’re seeing these people cook in what can be a loud, stressful environment.u

Will some contestants be successful? Probably, but there are going to be some disasters. You see Gordon Ramsay in the preview pull off a signature Gordon Ramsay move, which involves him throwing a piece of food that he claims is undercooked. Also, the weather isn’t going to play along with some of these contestants. Midway through the competition, the rain’s going to start coming down and that’s going to create some problems of its own. Let’s just hope that there are tents put up in order to ensure that everyone is still able to enjoy the competition. This could be a real test of how hungry these race fans truly are — at a certain point with bad weather, we may start to consider just driving to the nearest In-N-Out as opposed to sitting around in the rain, waiting to get a glimpse of Gordon Ramsay.

These challenges admittedly aren’t our favorite — there’s little creativity here and it’s mostly about endurance. Yet, if you can impress Gordon in this circumstance, you can set the stage for a lot of success for yourself down the line. It shows leadership, determination, and a real passion for cooking.
