MasterChef season 10: Wuta Onda eliminated; episode 16 preview

MasterChef

Tonight, MasterChef season 10 delivered a challenge that was all about creating a thing of beauty — macarons. This is not an easy challenge and the results reflected that. There is so much technical effort that goes into making these perfect, but then there’s the added task of trying to find the right flavor combination and making sure that they look and feel perfect for the judges.

There were a number of different issues that we saw with macarons from start to finish — some home cooks struggled to make them the right shape and size, and some others just couldn’t get all of the required ones in the box. There were several contestants in danger at the end of it and because of the wide array of struggles, it was hard to name a specific person who was in the most danger. Some of the ugliest macarons actually weren’t terrible, and that made the decision even harder.

So who ended up being sent packing? Wuta Onda was eliminated tonight just because he struggled getting a lot of macarons in the box — and the ones that he served just weren’t good enough. He was still in good spirits, though, as he thanked the judges and looked to bring some positive messages back to his students.

With Wuta’s elimination, we now have the top ten!

What’s coming on MasterChef season 10 episode 16?

We’re heading over to Irwindale and the Speedway that is there, largely in order to see the remaining ten home cooks take part in a team challenge like no other. There’s a NASCAR theme to it, and we almost wonder if they’re going to have to deal with the sights and sounds of the raceway to go along with some of the culinary challenges that come with this competition as a whole.

Below, CarterMatt has the full MasterChef season 10 episode 16 synopsis with more news all about what’s next:

The top 10 contestants test their speed in a special team challenge at the Irwindale Speedway, where they have 75 minutes to cook for 101 race car crew members.
