Arrow season 8 episode 3: Katie Cassidy directing
In a post on Instagram (see below), Cassidy confirmed that “Leap of Faith,” which is the third episode of the final season, will be the one taken on by her. It’s the one that is about to start filming, meaning that she is going to have a very busy next several weeks. filming the episode, after all, is just a part of her responsibility as director. She’ll also have to work through post-production to perfect it, in addition to everything that she did to prepare for it in advance. Add to this all of her typical day-to-day work as an actor and her schedule is pretty much crammed.

What makes Cassidy’s directing gig in the final season such an honor is that there are so few episodes in the first place — think ten. The Arrow team is putting a lot of trust in her as a first-time director to nail what will be 10% of their story for season 8, but we’re more than confident she will deliver.
The larger mystery, of course, is what the final season of Arrow is going to look like given that Oliver Queen went off with The Monitor at the end of season 7. There is so much story that is under a heavy veil right now, and that is separate from the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event.
Oh, but if you missed it, Black Lightning is appearing on that aforementioned crossover!
