ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: Emily goes worldwide

We already knew that the Hamptons were not going to be enough to contain someone of Emily Thorne’s caliber, and moving forward on “Revenge” this season, you are going to see an even greater sense of that than ever as wee the character bounce back and forth between more places than just New York and Japan.

So where else will she be heading? Of course, we can’t tell you that! What we can say, however, is that her plot is no longer going to be limited to people close to her, and this is going to give the show a feel that feels a little bit more like “The Bourne Identity” than one of your traditional primetime soaps. Speaking to E! News, here is what Emily VanCamp had to say on the subject:

“I can tease that Emily [will be] getting involved with people from around the world … You see people getting involved with her revenge plot that you never would have expected. Lots of new people coming onto the scene.”

As for who some of these people are going to be, Barry Sloane’s Aiden is one of the first people we’ve met with some major ties to somewhere other than the Hamptons … even though with him, we are looking very much at a character who already has some sort of past with Emily that is already buried. We will be meeting some more fresh faces soon, as well as seeing what they have to offer Emily in terms of support, or hinder her as some sort of a roadblock.

Oh, and Emily finally learned that her mother is alive, but is hardly the person that she wants her to be. This is really the devastating part of the episode, which we have a feeling that we will be talking about for some time.
