Grey’s Anatomy season 16: First table read takes place!
Earlier this week, the cast and crew for the hit medical drama gathered back in Los Angeles for the first table read of the season! This is the precursor for what is most likely going to be an exciting batch of episodes, ones that are stuffed full of drama and ones that contain new storylines and questions.
Based on how season 15 ended this past spring, we have to go ahead and assume that the premiere episode will, first and foremost, take its time to look at what’s going on in regards to Jackson’s whereabouts. Is he going to be okay? At the end of season 15, the character vanished into the fog after getting into an argument with Maggie. We know that Jesse Williams is coming back and that is the great news. The bad news, however, is not knowing what exactly is going to come on the other side. It’s not going to be so easy as Jackson just turning up, saying hello, and then the action of the series resumes as it once did.

For the remainder of Grey’s Anatomy season 16, you’ll have a chance to see more great stories featuring Ellen Pompeo and the rest of the cast as they try to find a way to make their lives go forward. Meredith has to figure out how to get herself out of a tremendous legal bind, some other characters will need to learn if they can get their jobs back, and we will get a chance to see what’s next for Teddy after becoming a mother. Is she going to choose a future with Owen, or moving forward instead with Koracick? Both men come carrying their own set of advantages and disadvantages and this is something that we’ll see her consider and think about.
