Blue Bloods season 10: Donnie Wahlberg, cast celebrate 200 episodes

We know that Blue Bloods season 10 is going to be special on the basis of its content alone. It’s going to be even more so the case when you consider the milestone nature of the premiere episode, because it’s the 200th episode! It’s so rare that any show gets an opportunity to rejoice in this sort of achievement, and the cast and crew are doing what they can in order to make it special.

If you head over to the official Instagram Stories of Vanessa Ray (Eddie), you can see much of the cast and crew celebrating the big milestone with a party — one that includes a rather enormous Blue Bloods themed cake! It’s tradition for shows to cut a cake like this when they reach a milestone, and it’s one that is very much earned. Think about the long hours, the hard work, and the commitment that so many cast members have had to being a part of the show over the years. While Ray joined midway through the series’ run, there are many other cast members who have been there from the very beginning.

One of these said cast members is Donnie Wahlberg, and if you look at his Instagram post HERE, you can see him alongside much of the rest of the cast at the first family dinner scene of the season. We’ve seen small variations to the dinner sequences over the years, whether it be the people in attendance to the location of the dinner. The basic essence of what family dinner is remains the same — a chance for the Reagans to get together, air out their grievances, and help each other through what are some extremely tough times. They may squabble and go toe-to-toe, but they’re family. These scenes are also meant to be reflective of what real families go through in their everyday life when they get together.

Blue Bloods season 10 will premiere on CBS when we get around to this fall. Here’s to hoping for many more Reagan family dinners and a whole lot more!
