‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: The Robin Sparkles air date

Remember the photo to the left? We first posted this image of Cobie Smulders as Robin Sparkles earlier this week, and now we have a few more details about an episode that is going to be coming up on “How I Met Your Mother” a little later this year … including an air date.

According to a new report from TV Guide, this episode is going to air on Monday, November 19, and is really going to focus first and foremost on the Canadian teen idol’s touring life, which includes all sorts of madness such as her getting in some trouble with a hotel room (which is the setting of the photo to the left). As for what sort of relevancy this has to the story in the present day, that much is still unclear; with that being said, though, we know that the writers would not put a storyline in here for no reason, especially when you consider that this could be the final season of the show. (Won’t these people just come up with a decision, already?)

Robin’s alter ego has been a popular staple of the show since she first made an appearance courtesy of the “Let’s Go to the Mall” video, and since that time the character has turned up again in flashbacks courtesy of Barney, who seems to have a knack for digging up all sorts of old footage from the past.
