As someone who personally feels as though Nathan Fillion is the king of Comic-Con, we admit that we are more excited about the sixth episode of “Castle” this season than any other one that is coming up. After all, this hour is going to feature Fillion’s Rick taking off to a fake sci-fi convention along with Kate Beckett, and the two have one main goal in mind: trying to uncover the shocking death of a fan.
To us, what is going to be interesting is seeing whether or not Castle appreciates such things, mostly because we do know how the actor himself feels about them already. Based on the photo to the left, both he and his girlfriend do seem to be a little confused by the whole ordeal, especially when they run into some stars of the medium who are having a really difficult time trying to handle to move on from the one job that they worked on several years ago.
We are sure that this episode will be stuffed with all sorts of vague “Firefly” and “Star Trek” references, and should more than anything else try to capture some of the same sort of fun that we saw from the show’s jaunt to the Hamptons last week. After so many serious episodes of the show lately, we are glad to see the story go in a little bit more of a lighthearted direction for a little while.
