Big Brother 21 interview: Allison Grodner on Camp Comeback, Cliff Notes
In this week’s interview with executive producer Allison Grodner, we discuss both the impact of this and one other Big Brother 21 event of note — Cliff’s decision to start speaking to all the live feeds. As most of you know, it’s a choice that has already blown up in his face.

CarterMatt – We’re a week into the Camp Comeback twist at this point. Has the experience of having these people remain in the house played out as you hoped?
Allison Grodner – We didn’t have any preconceived notion of how this twist would play out. We knew that it would change things up dramatically to have the people evicted remain in the house and we are fascinated by the way the HGs chose to handle this. As a group, they all gathered together at the beginning of the twist and insisted no one talk game with the people in Camp Comeback. Of course, that was never followed. It is still TBD as to whether the time in house playing the social game and staying relevant will help or hurt the person who comes back in.
Cliff’s far from the first person to give us monologues on the live feeds. (Mike Boogie’s still stand out as some of the most famous!) Do you like it when contestants do basically their own version of the Diary Room on the feeds, and after Cliff was caught this week, do you think we’ll be seeing more houseguests dare to do this in the future?
I think most Houseguests will be careful when spilling secrets to the house cameras moving forward for sure. We are fine with the people in the house communicating with the outside world this way as long as it does not occur too much.
