‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: One awkward ceremony

“Revenge” has went to some very interesting places over the past 25 episodes, but now, it is about to bring us somewhere very new: a vow renewal ceremony.

What is a little bit more surprising than the ceremony itself, though, are the two people who are front and center for it. As the photo to the left of this article clearly shows, Conrad and Victoria Grayson are going to be showing off their commitment to everyone in what is sure to be incredibly awkward and therefore delightful to watch. It’s the sort of commitment that is only coming about as a way for these two people to continue to undermine each other, while at the same time trying their hardest to put on the best possible appearance for everyone close to them.

Here is the official synopsis for this upcoming episode (entitled “Illusion”).

“The ties that bind Victoria and Conrad are tested as they reaffirm their loyalties and commitment to each other. Meanwhile the all-too-knowing Mason Treadwell digs deeper as Emily and Amanda struggle to keep their pasts a secret.”

Ultimately, it sounds like there is going to be entertainment all around when this episode airs later this month; after all, we are still surprised that Emily and Amanda have been able to put on their charade for as long as they have. It’s not going to be so easy if Emily’s mother does turn up on the scene, largely since we don’t know if she is going to have any motivation at all when it comes to keeping this a secret.
