The Blacklist season 7: Three people who could save Reddington

As we get closer to The Blacklist season 7,we cannot help but start thinking about the ways the writers can resolve one of the biggest cliffhangers ever. We may have to wait until October in order to see what’s next, but that’s not stopping us from raising the question now — who could end up saving Reddington from Katarina’s capture?

Liz Keen – Think back to what Liz was willing to do to help save Reddington back when he was shot in season 2 — she went through so much then, and that’s when she hated him after learning that he was responsible for hiring Tom in the first place. Just imagine now what she would do once she learned he is missing. Her mind may be complicated slightly when she realizes that Katarina Rostova is the reason why he’s missing, but we like to think she would choose the person who she knows and cares about over someone she doesn’t and someone who’s been gone for the better part of her life.

Dembe Zuma – Where was Dembe during the meeting at the end of season 6? We like to think that he was stationed nearby and that he may be the cavalry that comes and now cares for Reddington. He could also be a liaison for the Task Force to give them a sense of what’s happening and how he can help on the other side of it. Dembe seems to be fully back now within the world of the show and that is a very exciting thing. He’s gonna fight for Reddington, one way or another.

Reddington himself – There are two ways to look at this. First, there’s the idea that he saves himself because he’s so resourceful and capalbe of getting himself out of almost anything. Then, there’s another argument — that this Katarina was an actor and that the entire stunt at the end of season 6 was some sort of stunt in order to either draw out those who were hunting her or a way to create a false impression on someone watching. Nothing in the world of The Blacklist is as it seems … and that may also qualify here.
