MasterChef season 10 episode 8 preview: Just add water
In the video that CarterMatt has for you below, you can get a small tease of some of what MasterChef season 10 episode 8 has to offer. The home cooks are working quickly to try and create an authentic three-course Italian meal. This is the sort of thing that requires a lot of teamwork, a lot of patience, and a lot of technique. The thing about Italian cuisine is that it’s not always about the bulk of the ingredients that you have. Instead, it’s more about what you do with some of the ingredients that you have and some of the ways that you figure out how to make some of them sing. That means the right temperatures, the right seasonings, and the perfect amount of love and care.
Oh, and it also takes water. That’s a lesson that Renee is reminded of as she makes the simple mistake of forgetting to boil some water in order to cook the pasta. The pasta, in general, is probably the hardest part of this challenge. Sure, it’s not too challenging to just take it out of the box and cook it. It’s a completely different situation if you’re trying to make it fresh from dough, cut it, and then try to make it to the best possible specifications. Given that Joe Bastianich knows Italian food better than almost anyone, he’s going to be a tough judge at the end of all of this. He knows how to make the most of every single one of these ingredients and turn them into something super special.
No matter what happens in this challenge, at least someone on the other side is going to be able to make a better family dinner at home to some of their friends and family.
