Manifest season 2 cast reunites for first table read!
In a post on Twitter (which we have for you below), you can see much of the cast and crew together as they get set for filming courtesy of the first table read. This is where you get the first-day-of-school vibes and relish in getting everyone in the same place. It’s been a long time since the first season wrapped filming, and they will be spending a considerable amount of time together throughout the next several months bringing us what we expect to be a thrilling season!
So what will season 2 address? We hope to see some of the information discussed in our video below (subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for more), whether it be the notion of everyone’s “expiration date” and, of course, the big cliffhanger with the gunshot. It feels like someone was shot in the closing seconds, but that doesn’t mean that they are dead. The premiere should offer some answers, but then also jettison us down a new road full of mystery and great character development. Also, we want to see a little bit of hope — season 1 was devastating for a number of different characters and we have to imagine that there are some more tough times coming in a season 2.
While Manifest will be working hard for most of the summer and fall, we’re going to be stuck waiting in order to see it. The earliest the upcoming episodes will premiere is in January, pending some shocking last-second schedule switch. NBC has labeled the show a midseason one, and that term can, at times, be fairly flexible. It’s best not to hone in on any one date right now since the network can flip and change things around. Just be thrilled that we’re getting another season and cross your fingers that there is some good promotion out there for it. Perhaps the thing that we’re the most nervous about right now in regards to Manifest is that by the time it premieres, it will be almost a year (if not longer) from when the first season finale aired. That’s a long time for viewers, especially those who tend to bounce around from one program to the next.
