Hawaii Five-0 season 10 filming in Los Angeles; Alex O’Loughlin writing, directing
This is not the first time that O’Loughlin has contributed to the CBS show outside of his acting duties, but it is the first time that the actor has worn so many hats for a single episode. It’s clear evidence of his ambition, and then also the faith that Lenkov and the whole team have in him to deliver something awesome. If this helps to keep him creatively fulfilled and excited to be a part of the series, we are all for it.

One thing we should point out is this: Lenkov never explicitly says that this footage is being filmed is the premiere. It’d make some sense that it is (hence, Alex having an incredible hiatus beard that you’d think he would shave at some point), but given the different filming location plus the prep time associated with being a director, it may be filmed out of order with the rest of the season. This is something we’ve seen with Supernatural over the years, as Jensen Ackles will often film his episode as director before the rest of the season, even if it is not the first one to air.
Hawaii Five-0 season 10 will premiere on CBS this September. This news should help to make the wait for more a little bit easier, no?
