Instinct season 2 episode 2 preview: A look ahead at ‘Broken Record’

“Broken Record” – Dylan and Lizzie investigate the murder of an aspiring musician who was gunned down on a roller coaster at an amusement park. Also, Lizzie exhausts herself trying to keep up with a newly single friend, and Andy and Dylan look to broaden their options for adoption, on INSTINCT, Sunday, July 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The mystery is teased further in the photo above and it has to be one of the crazier ones that we’ve seen Instinct take on during its run. It’s not all that often where you see someone killed in a location where it feels almost impossible for someone to get a clean shot. You have to consider that the murderer was either A) someone sitting next to them or B) someone who was sniping from afar. Because of the way that people are seated on a roller coaster, it’s hard to imagine someone being able to stand up in the seat ahead, turn around, and kill them without everyone else on the ride seeing. It’s possible that they were killed before and the murderer was able to mask it.
As for the other plotlines, we don’t foresee Andy and Dylan getting to the finish line of their story anytime soon. Adoption is a long and often difficult process. There are a number of people who are often judgmental, overly concerned, or just make you fill out dozens of pages’ worth of paperwork. For Lizzie, her story is relatable just because we’ve all been there. It’s hard to be in a spot where you have to pick someone up when they’re down, and with Lizzie’s personal situation being so complicated, we wouldn’t be shocked if she had a hard time relating.
