Next week, Blood & Treasure episode 8 is coming on the air — and it may have the greatest episode title of all time. “The Lunchbox of Destiny.” We like to think that this could contain a game-changing ham sandwich that alters the course of the world as we know it … or maybe it’s the bag of potato chips. The apple that is a day away from going rotten?
Anyhow, we feel like there should be at least two or three episodes just about this itself — or, “The Lunchbox of Destiny” should really be some sort of Blood & Treasure spin-off that comes down the road. The reality is that this episode does have some other priorities beyond just having a fun title that makes us eager to dive into some discussions. You’re going to see through here Danny and Lexi do everything that they can in order to get information from the FBI on Cleopatra. What’s the problem? The FBI wants something from him in return. If he wants to preserve and help his future in some way, it looks as though Danny is going to have to explore a significant chunk of his past. He’s going to have to contact his father and allow him to give up some information from many years beforehand. Intriguing, no?
For some more news on what’s next, take a look at the official Blood & Treasure episode 8 synopsis below:
“The Lunchbox of Destiny” – The FBI offers Danny and Lexi information that will help them in their search for Cleopatra, but only if Danny is able to get his incarcerated father, Patrick (Mark Valley), to give up the location of paintings that he helped steal 20 years earlier. Also, Farouk deals with a loose end and takes a big step forward in his master plan, on BLOOD & TREASURE, Tuesday, July 2 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Truth is, there’s a lot of ground that Blood & Treasure is going to cover in a short period of time. There aren’t too many episodes left in the season and with the show’s long-term future uncertain, the writers gotta strike while the iron is hot. Be prepared for a lot of answers on Cleopatra through the rest of the season, dangerous situations, and hopefully some great character development. If the rest of the season 1 story is tied together, we’d love to get at least some sort of tease for season 2 — it’d be nice to have at least a little more of a sense of what is coming up on the other side if CBS brings it back.
