‘Hart of Dixie’ season 2 spoilers: Ready for Halloween?

Thanks to the way in which things were timed out on the schedule this year, “Hart of Dixie” is going to have quite a luxury in getting to air a new episode right before Halloween. With that in mind, we are going to be seeing some people get in a little bit more than just the holiday spirit for the fifth episode of the season airing on October 30.

Will there be costumes and candy? That much we don’t know, but you are going to see a man (in George) become more or less a zombie while there is another sort of event unfolding that is more or less a holiday to some people: election season. As a part of a recent press release talking about the episode, The CW shared the following official description containing plenty of surprises:

“With Halloween right around the corner, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) begins to notice some odd occurrences happening in her home.  She is shocked to discover that the culprit is George (Scott Porter), but she soon realizes that he may have a sleepwalking issue.  Concerned for his safety, they decide to conduct a sleep study, forcing her to cancel her big plans with Wade (Wilson Bethel).  Meanwhile, the Mayoral race between Lavon (Cress Williams) and Ruby (guest star Golden Brooks) is close, and AnnaBeth (guest star Kaitlyn Black) comes up with an unusual plan that may help him clinch the election leaving Lemon (Jaime King) feeling uneasy.  “

The Mayoral race is not just going to be interesting to watch from the perspective of the story, but also when it comes to the show’s production. Why? If for whatever reason Ruby manages to end up winning it, we have a feeling that we are going to see Brooks for at least the rest of the season and likely beyond that. Otherwise, it’s still possible that she could be sent packing at some point.

Are you ready for a few good scares, “Hart of Dixie” style?
