Big Brother 21: What do cast photos really mean? The latest debate

Big Brother

The premiere episode of Big Brother 21 is airing on CBS tomorrow, and the internet is already running amok for a number of different reasons –as is often the case when we’re so close to the premiere. (Warning: There are possible spoilers ahead.)

So what’s the latest one? Here, we’re talking here about photos. Or, to be exact the photo above. There is something that feels odd about it, and that has a thing or two with David and his placement in the image. The way he’s sitting feels unnatural, almost like he’s plugged in after the fact.

So, what does that mean? The speculation is obviously going to be that this ensures that he is the first one evicted come premiere night, but we don’t want to guarantee anything right now. For starters, over the weekend it seemed via the feed leak that either Kemi or Analyse was the person who was evicted right away — if anyone was. Plus, could there be some other reasons for the shot? Sure, mostly in that Big Brother may be deliberately trying to troll us into thinking that something crazy is going down here. Or, maybe David was really sick or something and couldn’t be in the shot when it was taken.

Are we grasping for alternate reasons for what’s going on here? In a way, sure, but we just don’t want to guarantee anything based on a single photo that is out there. Also, there is something else weird going on here — what in the world is happening with Tommy’s legs? Were they evicted before anyone or anything else? One of the things we’re thinking about with these photos sometimes is that they have to be rushed to get done within a specific amount of time. Mistakes happen and people are human.

If nothing else, we’re at least happy to be getting the premiere episode of the show tomorrow — because of that, we don’t have to spend some horribly long amount of time wondering about who’s going home first in the game. If it is David for whatever reason, we figure that there are some worse outcomes out there. We do like to the guy and feel like he could’ve been a cool part of the season, but he also wasn’t entering the game with a lot of Big Brother knowledge or fandom. If someone does go home early, we’re always going to prefer it being someone who is not a devoted fan of the show. They won’t be as devastated as someone who has spent years of their life trying to make it to that point.
