Shameless season 10 photo: The gang’s all here!
As you can see in the post below on Instagram, the season 10 gang is ready to take off on yet another adventure, one that certainly one prove to be one of the most fascinating that we’ve seen so far. We’re almost dipping our toes into some uncharted waters. This is the first season we’re entering without having Emmy Rossum as Fiona around, and there are also some other changes. Cameron Monaghan is now back full time, Noel Fisher is going to making his presence felt, and you’re going to see Tami in more of a series-regular role. There are some big things that the producers are planning and we certainly hope that the story pays off like it should.

Inevitably, with the cast coming back together there are going to be questions. Take, for example, the issue of whether or not season 10 is going to be the final one for the series. We know that eventually, we are going to get to the point where the cast says goodbye … but there isn’t any indication that it’s coming up immediately. What’s so curious about where we’re at with this show is that Shameless, in a number of ways, was kind of a late bloomer. It didn’t end up actually becoming a big hit until a handful of years into its run. It almost feels like it hasn’t been on the air as long because of that, but it’s already cast a large shadow. If it were to end with season 10, it would be easy to give it a round of applause and say that it’s done everything that it’s set out to do.
So when will these new episodes premiere? It could come a little bit later this fall, but it really all depends on whenever Showtime thinks is the best possible time to launch it? We’d argue that there isn’t too much of a hurry to get new episodes out there, but we saw that in part as someone who likes the show on around the holiday season.
