Elementary season 7 episode 6 spoilers: What could Odin Reichenbach do?

Elementary

We’re going to be meeting Odin Reichenbach for the first time on Elementary season 7 episode 5, but the big surprise may be coming in the week that follows. Episode 6 is entitled “Command: Delete” and it is going to give you a perfect opportunity to learn a little bit more about who this guy really is and what he wants.

From what we know, James Frain’s character is almost a human version of the movie Minority Report. For some other insight, just check out the official Elementary season 7 episode 6 synopsis below:

“Command: Delete” – Tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach presents Holmes and Watson with an extraordinary offer to help him with a program that can predict future crimes. Also, Holmes and Watson assist Bell when he tries to prevent a future crime of his own, as he races to locate a fellow NYPD officer planning a sniper shooting, on ELEMENTARY, Thursday, June 27 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

So is it really possible to do something like produce future crimes? Within the world of Elementary, we have a hard time thinking so. It obviously makes some sense for someone to try, though, given that if it functions properly, we could see this sort of thing revolutionizing the world of crime in an enormous way. It could eradicate terrible things happening in the world altogether!

Yet, here is the problem we foresee with all of this — trying to figure out if this is actually working as it should. How can you really prove the effectiveness of this? As you would imagine, this is a pretty enormous problem because there’s no clear-cut way to show that something like this is actually working. Instead, you’re having to be a little bit more reliant on information that may not be readily available to you. Given that we know that Odin is a villain already based on the information we have, it’s hard to go into the upcoming episodes having confidence in him.

Instead, think of the story more in this way — how do you find a way to make us think that he is doing good, only for it to end up being the other thing? More than the end result, we foresee this as a story all about the build.
