‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Colton Dixon

Ready for some videos? Luckily, we have a pair of them in our latest edition of “American Idol” notes; and, to go along with that, we also have some more news related to what a contestant from this past season is up to at the moment in the studio.

Adam’s new performance – We’re going to kick things off here with Adam Lambert, whose hair color and location seems to be changing by the day. Recently, he was in New Zealand doing press (in addition to reading the weather), and he is following that up with a performance in Melbourne during the famed racing event Caulfield Guineas Day. There were a number of songs that he belted out for the occasion, but here we are putting the focus on a song in “Cuckoo.” It’s really just as much fun as a performance of this song can be.

Kelly Clarkson covers Oasis – For our newest cover from Kelly, we are looking at what she chose to do in Manchester with a famed song from Oasis in “Wonderwall.” Not only was her voice as perfect as always, but we also like how she really took on a popular song here and shook up the arrangement enough to make it feel fresh.

Colton Dixon’s new recordings – For those of you out there who are also major Colton Dixon fans, we would feel wrong to not hand out some more news from the season 11 star. In a post on Twitter, he announced a pair of songs that he is in the process of recording in the studio:

“[Great] first day of recording!!! ‘Noise’ and a jam called ‘In and Out of Time’ are recorded. Couple of my favorites from the record.”
