The Amazing Race season 31 episode 10 preview: The Double U-Turn returns

Race 29 finale

Next week on The Amazing Race season 31 episode 10, you’re going to see what’s (hopefully) going to be a leg as challenging as what we saw tonight. Personally, we thought that this was the best one of the season — you had legitimate challenges, a great setting, and some dalmatians at the pit stop. What’s not to like? There’s also an interesting competition given that Tyler & Korey have been such a dominating force as of late. Can anyone actually unseat them? Can Nicole & Victor continue their string of good luck after doing so incredibly well coming back from some bad circumstances?

With Chris & Bret gone from the Race after one of the more unfortunate collapses that we’ve seen, Nicole & Victor are suddenly the only non-Amazing Race team left. They are the ultimate underdogs up against Leo & Jamal, Colin & Christie, Tyler & Korey, & Team Fun. There is a chance to shake up the order a little bit, though, and it is all due to the Double U-Turn returning!

If we are one of the teams on the Race at this point, one thing feels very clear — you gotta consider using this on Tyler & Korey! They’ve dominated much of the past few legs and are easily one of the biggest threats. You could argue that Colin & Christie are next since they’ve got so much wisdom and experience — with Team Fun right behind them. As for the other two teams, Nicole & Victor are solid but reasonably inexperienced compared to the others; meanwhile, the Afghanimals don’t really seem like their head is in the game all of the time. It’s going to be an interesting next week, especially if Nicole & Victor continue to bicker like it seems they’re going to.

No matter what happens moving forward, there’s a lot to love about where we are with the show this season. It’s one of the most competitive we’ve had in a while and beyond just that, a lot of these people are just super likable. Colin & Christie have totally redeemed themselves from their original reputation on reality TV, and while the Afghanimals are the same players they were years ago, it really doesn’t matter all that much.
