The Bachelorette episode 5 return date pushed back by NBA Finals

Hannah Brown - Bachelorette cast

We knew that The Bachelorette episode 5 was going to air on ABC next week … but it’s now a little later than we first thought.

While it would’ve been great to see the show in its typical timeslot, a little thing known as the NBA Finals is delaying that. (With that in mind, this is us being bitter that the Raptors ended up losing Game 2 instead of sweeping the Warriors outright. We still got hope!) We’re going to have to wait now until Tuesday to see more of the latest antics, including what comes next with Luke P. and Luke S., who have been involved in a bro-fight like no other ever since the rugby game. Judging from the official synopsis below, things aren’t going to get any better:

The amped-up emotions of last week continue as Hannah pulls two bitter rivals aside to try to get to the real truth behind the bad blood between them. Her efforts to mediate backfire with the rose ceremony looming. But before the first rose is even handed out, a shocking disappointment leaves Hannah questioning herself and the remaining men. Trying to leave the drama stateside, she embarks on an overseas adventure, greeting her suitors in Inverness, Scotland. Hannah and her first one-on-one date explore the local culture, and the man decides to take a risk and share his deep feelings for her with a look to the future. Will it be too much too soon? A group of 10 suitors go native – wearing Scottish kilts – to compete in the first-ever “Bachelorette Highland Games. The after-party that night turns into a mix of sexy make-out sessions and serious conversations. Hannah’s last one-on-one date of the week is filled with crazy drama and she faces an agonizing decision that could cost her a happy ending.

After reading that synopsis, don’t you think that it’s possible that ABC just wants to create their own Outlander? Scotland has gotten so much attention as a romantic destination as of late — unfortunately, Hannah doesn’t have anyone in her cast of guys named Jamie Fraser, so she may be out of luck when in it comes to having some sort of full-on recreation.

So who could be bringing some drama beyond Luke on The Bachelorette? We hate to say it, but we’re kind of a little bit worried about Mike. He seems like a nice guy who is doing whatever he can to be there for Hannah, but there’s a difference between being there for Hannah and wandering around in a suit of armor swinging a sword. He may be trying a bit too hard to be the protector when instead he should just be Mike. His comments about wanting to stand up for her at every single turn against the other guys Monday night has a little bit worried as to what could be coming up.
