The Bachelorette: Why was Hannah Brown so into Luke Parker?
Instead, what we’ve come to see with Luke over time is that he’s got a tendency to be controlling and that he doesn’t really play all that well with others. He’s created a lot of drama throughout the house so far, and we don’t really get the sense that things are going to get any easier for him now. There’s burning bridges, and then there’s igniting them after pouring on gasoline. Luke’s done the latter and yet, Hannah’s still been into him.

So why is that? Why isn’t she seeing what everyone else is? A big part of it simply has to do with her own perception, Luke getting a rose the first night, and also her not being in the house surrounded by some of the other guys. Speaking on all of this with former contestant Nick Viall in his The Viall Files, here’s some of what she had to say (via E! News):
“My relationship with Luke P., especially at the beginning, like the instant connection, reminded me a lot of my really long-term relationship and so it was like this initial attraction of like, goo goo ga ga eyes … “And I know that like through what we’ve seen, I really held on to that. I hadn’t had a connection like that in a really long time, and when it had for me, it was like…it was huge. And he is a spark of something that I can see. He’s like the brightest light out there and I don’t know if the light is like a ‘do not come here’ caution light, or like the beacon. He’s the brightest thing that’s like attracting me right now.”
Basically, it’s a psychological thing — you get so attached to someone based on early feelings and because of that, it’s hard to really steer away from that. We think that Hannah can get there, but this is the sort of thing that takes a good bit of time and also a lot of work. Also, it’s going to take some incidents when it comes to Luke and Hannah in person given that she hasn’t experienced much of the same Luke as anyone else. We’ll see if that changes throughout the weeks and months ahead.
