Good Trouble season 2 premiere spoilers: ‘Percussions,’ decisions

As we prepare for the Good Trouble season 2 premiere to arrive on Freeform come June 18, why not share more details for what’s coming up next? “Percussions” is the first episode, and the goal for this installment is rather simple: It’s a way in which to tie together some loose ins while also determine what the path is going to be for Callie and Mariana moving forward. We’re going to see some relationship revelations, some difficult conflicts, and hopefully a direct continuation from the first season that feels fairly fluid.

The outcome of the Jamal Thompson case is decided, and Callie is forced to decide what she’s willing to fight for. Mariana jumps into a new relationship but stumbles into a situation she wasn’t prepared to face. Alice attempts to win Joey back, while Davia attempts to help Dennis.

One of the things that we are most excited to do throughout the remainder of this season is basically explore the idea of how people start to settle in — and if there is a way for them to actually settle in. Callie and Mariana aren’t newcomers in Los Angeles anymore. They’ve been there for a while and because of that, they actually know and understand who they are within this world. They can better fight for some of what they love.

Yet, because these characters have been around for as long as they have there, you do have an added sense of jeopardy. There is a little bit more that they are fighting for and with that, there is certainly more that all of these characters to have to lose. This does add to the danger that they are in, such as if Mariana has trouble in a relationship that has far-reaching implications beyond just what’s happening with herself. These are characters who, collectively, are probably going to have a lot to both think about and feel throughout some of the upcoming stories. Expect new faces, new challenges, and hopefully some victories amidst the setbacks.
