Blindspot season 4 finale promo: The FBI goes dark

Blindspot season 4

When the Blindspot season 4 finale airs on NBC this coming Friday, one thing is going to become clear almost right away — the state of the FBI is in peril. Serious peril. Also, they have Madeline to thank for that.

In the video below, you can get a reasonable sense of precisely what to expect across the final two episodes, as it seems as though Madeline is inching ever closer to getting precisely what she wants. She’s found a unique way to both establish and reinforce control, and we’ve got a good feeling that she’s going to do virtually whatever she can in order to make sure that she continues to push Jane, Weller, and the rest of the cast — including putting much of the Eastern part of the US off the grid.

Also, it certainly doesn’t help that there are tentacles and problems extending pretty much everywhere — take, for example, what’s going on with Briana. She doesn’t exactly want to do anything that she is doing, but really, she doesn’t feel like she has a choice. This is what happens when you’re getting blackmailed and you’re finding yourself cornered into being a traitor. Things are going to get crazy, and for some, it could turn deadly. Briana is certainly someone to wonder about in the finale, given that she could eventually say no to some orders — but get herself killed in the process.

Will there be at least some sort of a cliffhanger at the end of this? Most likely, since we know that the finale wasn’t meant to be a series-ender, but rather the end of this particular chapter. We’re lucky that there is a season 5 coming, even if it is a shorter final-season order. Mostly, this will be a chance for the writers to tie together a few loose ends and make sure that we get an ending that is deserving of these characters and the journey that they’ve been one. we certainly think that Jane, Weller, and a few other characters deserve at least some sort of happiness after all they’ve been through — we don’t know if they’ll exactly get a normal life, but we’re not sure that they would be able to handle that even if they were presented with it in the first place.
