‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Check out the new casting notice

With the “Game of Thrones” filming period in Northern Ireland coming to a close this week, it is safe to say that they really are saving the best for last. Of course, those of you who have red the books certainly know what “the best” truly means: the red wedding. For the risk of spoiling anything, we’re not going to be putting any other details about what actually happens here on the site; however, we will share some casting information for you for those of you who either want a chance to be on TV, or if you just want to know what production is currently seeking out.

According to show site Westeros.org (who also has the contact information for those interested), a call has gone out for actors who are amputees to take part in a key scene happening tomorrow night. Specifically, producers are hoping to find actors who are single amputees, have no other parts of their body amputated, and you also have to be okay filming a scene in which your amputated leg will appear as though it was just cut off from your body. Sound grisly? It should!

The red wedding is considered to be one of the most exciting moments of the entire series based on the George R.R. Martin books, and it could be in many ways season 3’s response to the famed Battle of Blackwater from season 2. The show is also currently hunting down cellists for another critical scene, but we don’t find this casting to be as interesting given how few calls we see go out concerning amputees. Personally we’d like to see season 1 “Big Brother” winner Eddie McGee, who has since his time on reality TV been acting in a number of feature films over the years, be cast in the role and join the “Game of Thrones” cast.

Season 3 of the show is also currently getting filming set in Morocco, and will be heading to Iceland next month in order to truly wrap things up.
