‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Lana Parrilla on new ‘conflict’ for Regina

Is the Evil Queen going to be a little less evil on this upcoming season of “Once Upon a Time”? Based on the newest information that is coming out now, it sure looks like it is at least going to be that way for a while.

Speaking as a part of a new interview with TV Guide, Lana Parrilla (who is responsible for playing the show’s principal “big bad”) explained that really, Regina is not going to be as pleased to see both Emma and Mary Margaret gone from Storybrooke as you may originally assume:

“There’s conflicting feelings around Emma and Mary Margaret being gone … There’s celebratory moments typically, and then, ‘OMG, without them, I still don’t have Henry. I need them in order to have a relationship with Henry.'”

Considering what is coming up on the show, we don’t even think that Regina will have to be that villainous for at least a little while. New series regular Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook) is coming on board for the fourth episode of the season, and it’s hard to imagine the famed pirate from “Peter Pan” fame having the same sort of altruistic side as a woman with feelings for her adopted son. We’ve come to learn that Regina was not always the woman that she has become, but who knows? Hook could have been the way he is even before a blasted crocodile took off once of his hands.

Are you all right with seeing a different side of Regina this season, at least while she tries to figure out a way to get both Mary Margaret and Emma out of whatever land she believes them to be in? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below!
