Blue Bloods season 10 premiere date hopes for Tom Selleck, cast

Blue Bloods season 9

We know already that there is going to be a Blue Bloods season 10 on CBS … but when could it premiere? Beyond that, what can we expect to see?

Obviously, there is going to be a Blue Bloods season 10 on the network — maybe you’ve had a lot to worry about when it comes to some other shows out there (this has been that kind of day for cancellations), but you don’t need to worry about it here. Blue Bloods is one of those series that will last as long as the cast and crew want it to … at least so long as the ratings stay what they are. The numbers for this series remain exceptional, especially in total-viewer metrics. It’s really the (police) engine that could, continuing to have a devoted following and withstanding even changes in the way people watch TV.

Think about it this way — with the way in which a lot of people watch TV these days, it would be easy for Blue Bloods to become that sort of show that people just check out on their DVR or some sort of streaming platform after the fact. Yet, they don’t do that here, they somehow find a way to keep watching live and doing so with a whole lot of commitment and regularity. They remain as passionate as ever and this show needs that.

When will the Blue Bloods season 10 premiere date be?

As of right now, the last Friday of September remains a fair guess. There’s no reason for CBS to move it, or changing the timing of the premiere date. Every single thing that has worked so far has worked for a reason. You’ll get confirmation of the premiere date this summer, and most likely, next week upfronts will reveal the official timeslot.

As for what we can expect to see…

Obviously, getting to see Jamie and Eddie as a married couple is a top priority, but beyond that, we want an opportunity to see Erin continue to climb the ranks while Danny takes on another high-profile case, one that could require a lot of attention. We would like to see a love interest for at least one of the series regulars, but don’t necessarily choose it right now. Take your time, and try to find a way in order to figure out the right person for it.

Overall, though, we imagine that Blue Bloods is going to be the same show that we’ve come to know and love. It’s just a different evolution.
