ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Now with ‘Revenge’ references!

We have seen “Castle” bond with his daughter and deal with other women trying to mess with his new life, and after taking on all of this stress, doesn’t this seem to be as good of a time as any to get a little bit of rest and relaxation? With all of this in mind, we present the newest promo for next week’s new episode.

Entitled “Murder, He Wrote” (a clever reference to a certain famed murder-mystery show of old), this episode by and large revolves around what happens when Castle and Beckett “go to a place that is known for revenge,” which is of course a very clever reference to one of ABC’s other shows, and then end up finding a dead body ruin their romance. Being the sort of nosy detectives that they are, they could not just look the other way and not try to help out the local authorities. Unfortunately, in the process their plans for some extra-lovey swimming is probably going to be pushed back for a while (at least until the case is solved).

While people who just want to watch romance constantly will probably be disappointed by all this, we don’t necessarily need an hour that is strictly just Castle / Beckett PDA. With that in mind, this episode sounds not only exciting, but also just fun and in the perfect spirit for this show. Who doesn’t want to see these two characters work together some more outside of New York City? It’s seeing them in different locations and with different dynamicsc that makes this show truly fascinating on a week-to-week basis.
