‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 5 spoilers: A look at ahead with Wendy
One of the elements of “Sons of Anarchy” that has intrigued us so much over the years, is the sheer notion of its evolution. At the beginning of the FX series, we interpreted many of the characters one way; then, we have seen them change and either grow better or worse as the years have gone on. You can look at both Jax or Gemma as two primary examples of this; or, you can look at a character who turned up off and on over the years in Wendy, who has returned to the show recently in an effort to see her son with Jax in Abel.
So what does the woman responsible for this role have to say about how she has changed? Speaking in a conference call recently with reporters (per TV Fanatic), here is what Drea de Matteo (“The Sopranos”) had to say:
“I think in the very beginning of the series she was extremely, extremely vulnerable. At first she was a mess. Then she was sober and a raw nerve. Now she comes back with her confidence intact and not wanting to stir any … up except for being a responsible party. It seems that the whole entire world has imploded and she’s going to have a hard time maneuvering within it because nobody’s stable over there. She’s now become the face of stability, which is kind of funny.”
So is Wendy really going to be successful in doing what she wants? That much is still a mystery, but we have a feeling that it will for sure to be interesting to watch, especially since Jax has so much else going on at the moment. In addition to celebrating his recent nuptials with Tara, he is also organizing a new business deal with Nero in the wake of Opie’s death.
Do you think that “Sons of Anarchy” is a better show when Wendy is around?
