NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 22 spoilers: ‘Chaos Theory’

NCIS: New Orleans season 4 premiere

As we get closer to the end of NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 22, the stakes are going to rise, clearly, in a wide array of different ways. You’re going to see a larger sense of danger for some of our heroes, but then also some innocent people across the city of New Orleans. Within this specific episode, you’re going to see someone angling to cause as much loss of life as possible. It’s a horrific concept and one that will make this case in particular different than many others we’ve seen.

Also, we’ve got a feeling that this episode (entitled “Chaos Theory”) is going to lead to an even more pressing investigation than normal. There may only be so long to catch the person responsible before they attack again.

For a little more insight, CarterMatt has the official NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 22 synopsis right now with a little more insight into what is coming up:

“Chaos Theory” – The NCIS team investigates a deadly bombing at a military museum event with over 1,000 people in attendance, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, April 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The immediate question that we wonder after seeing all of this information written out is whether or not the responsible party here is Apollyon, the mysterious group that is responsible for the death of Cassius Pride. They’ve been lurking underneath the surface like a monster for the better part of this season and there’s no clear directive right now for where this story is going to take us. Our feeling is that it will be a part of the finale, mostly because it feels like they are the sort of Big Bad that you would want to put a good bit of focus on as this story winds down — at least for the time being. We do remain quite confident that there’s going to be a season 6; the renewal news may not be out there just yet like it is with the flagship show, but feel good about the idea that it’s coming.

In getting back to episode 22 in particular, we suppose that we should really just be prepared for an intense, heart-pounding episode without really the promises of anything else. At this point, there really isn’t any guarantee of Apollyon or any other larger, consistent threat finding their way to enter the picture.
