‘Glee’ season 4 song spoilers: Check out the full ‘Grease’ album!

If you were able to remember it following all of the crying that was going on during Thursday night’s “Break-Up” episode of “Glee,”  it was also announced that New Directions was going to be doing a full-on tribute to one of the most popular musicals of all time: “Grease.” We also know thanks to the first promo released for episode 5 that one Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) is going to serve as the director.

In what is news that should not surprise anyone given how much this show loves to sell records, there is a full disc coming out soon that is going to contain all of the music tributing what was made famous originally by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, and it contains a number of the show’s most-notable numbers: “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” “Born to Hand Jive,” “Greased Lightning,” “Look At Me I’m Sandra Dee,” “Beauty School Dropout,” “There Are Worse Things That I Can Do,” “You’re the One I Want,” and “Summer Nights.” To us, there are really two major surprises on this list:

1. The fact that “Grease is the Word” is not included here, given that it is the opening song for the movie, and also one of the most memorable.

2. That “Summer Nights” is included, despite the fact that this song was already a part of the “Yes/No” episode that aired during season 3. Unfortunately, we don’t know who is singing any of these classics yet … so this just be a reprise of the Chord Overstreet and Amber Riley version.

Based on some photos that have been sent out by executive producer Ryan Murphy, one of the current rumors suggests that Marley (Melissa Benoist) may be playing Sandy, while Blaine could end up being Danny. Who knows? Maybe getting on stage will help him deal with his breakup.
