God Friended Me finale video: Can Miles, Rakesh save Simon Hayes?

Tomorrow night, the God Friended Me finale is going to arrive on CBS and through it, you’re going to have a chance to see a story of redemption. It’s a chance to see whether or not Rakesh, Miles, and Cara can actually help Simon Hayes achieve his goal — the very thing that they took away from him on accident.

The sneak peek below makes it clear that through the finale, we’re going to see whether or not Team God Account can make things right for the tech guru when it comes to his predictive technology. Simon used some of the code created by Henry Chase to make something life-altering — a way in which to predict major catastrophes before they happen. It was a way to do some good for the world and to help save lives and best of all, he had no intention of profiting off of it. This wasn’t about trying to use Henry’s technology to fill his coffers; it was instead about trying to make the world a better place and show to him that he was ready to make this world a little bit better. It was basically his way to say sorry.

After hearing the laundry list of problems that Simon is going through now — including having his job and future at risk — Miles and Rakesh are going to have two major goals to accomplish in this finale.

1. Track down Henry Chase – If they can do this, they may be able to ensure that they can get some of Simon’s technology back afloat. In turn, this could be the very thing that gets the project on track. We’re sure that it may be hard to get these two men in the same room and getting along, but the photo at the top of the article makes it 100% clear that there is going to be a way to track down Chase. The next order of business is then finding a way to translate this into the two actually finding a tangible way to work together and get their relationship in a better spot moving forward.

2. Allowing Simon to keep his job – We envision this being the sort of thing that could involve an elaborate presentation, but we also feel like if Miles and Rakesh can prove that Simon’s technology works, any board would be foolish to get rid of him. Even if this is non-profit, just imagine the sort of equity that comes from him being billed as a world-changer.

So how is Cara involved in all of this? While she is not featured in the sneak peek, she is in the photo and we feel like her ability to use the power of the pen will be very much useful to ensuring that these two objectives are met in a satisfying way. Even if we don’t find out the true origins of the God Account in this episode, it may prove to be satisfying nonetheless.
