Is SWAT new tonight on CBS? season 2 episode 19 expectations

SWAT

Is SWAT new tonight on CBS? It’s certainly understandable to be wanting more of the show and what it brings to the Thursday-night schedule. Think in terms, first and foremost, of high-octane drama and fantastic action. Few shows do a shootout quite like this one, while also still portraying the drama around it as real. Having to take out threats is not a glamorous thing to do; it’s painful. Hondo and company don’t think of themselves as superheroes who are able to save the day and move on to the next mission without any residue. Watching this show provides just enough escapism for you as a viewer, while also enough reality that you still have something to cling to.

Unfortunately, here’s the bad news: SWAT is taking a quick break. Yep, another quick break. They’ve been plentiful as of late, but we are almost to the point where we’re going to get a straight run of them leaving up to the finale next week. The run will begin with “Invisible” next week, and then after that, there are some episodes airing entitled “Rocket Fuel” and also “Day of Dread.” Without knowing anything about it, can we go ahead and say that the title for the latter sends a massive chill down our spine?

The photo above is for “Invisible,” and yes, so many familiar faces are clearly very visible. Go ahead and get a lot of those jokes out of the way right now. The primary narrative push within this episode is going to begin with the abduction of Luca and Street’s neighbor, and what that is going to lead to is the SWAT team doing whatever they can in order to figure out who is using some domestic workers to get into valuable, upscale homes. Basically, you’re getting a story where bad guys are trying to take advantage of people trying to just do their jobs in order to get a little ahead in life. It’s a sad story in that way, one we can’t say that we’re altogether shocked about just because there are some bad dudes out in this world. That’s been clearly established through two seasons of television.

Insofar as notable guest stars go, the next SWAT will also bring back Debbie Allen! She’s done a great job of balancing this show and also Grey’s Anatomy this season, and hopefully, that’s a trend that continues for some time. It’s easy to assume that the medical drama is going to be renewed, and we remain reasonably hopeful that we’ll see more of SWAT, as well. That’s something we even discussed in the recent renewal watch video below; check that out, and then subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for more insight.
