Don’t get mad; get even. Somewhere, we can envision the cast of SEAL Team telling themselves this over and over again leading into season 2 episode 18. Over the course of tonight’s installment “Paradise Lost,” something terrible is going to happen. It’s the sort of thing that could take all of the lighter edges away from being in the Philippines and leaving at least one character broken and desperate. A character is facing a tough recovery, provided they even survive, and it’s leaving Bravo Team with some fire in their belly.
Of course, you just have to hope that somewhere along the way, the thirst for revenge doesn’t override the team’s ability to see things clearly. That’s always the problem when you’re personally invested in the mission, and it’s probably one of the reasons why any military institution preaches against it. You don’t want to be pushed so much by emotion that when the dust settles, you aren’t motivated by anything other than it. It just puts you in a position where you can compromise both yourself and just about everyone around you.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the official SEAL Team season 2 episode 18 synopsis with some other news regarding what’s coming up:
“Payback” – Bravo Team is out for revenge as they search for the person responsible for the surprise bomb attack that left one of their own in peril, Wednesday, April 17 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
These sort of episodes are the sort that SEAL Team does best. Just think about it. This isn’t a show that does serialized stories for the heck of it; they alternate between them and story-of-the-week plots and what that means is that when the producers are going more in this direction, they mean to do some incredible things with it. They’re not taking advantage of what they can deploy on their viewers. This is going to be an episode jam-packed with a lot of emotion and danger; by the time we’re on the other side of it, the landscape of SEAL Team could be a little bit different. That sort of risk and flux is always going to be here with a show like this.
There are still four more episodes on the other side of this one coming up, so consider that all of the evidence you need that the drama’s still going to be heating up for all of these characters in the weeks coming — no matter how this story is going to be resolved.
