‘Glee’ season 4: Lea Michele reacts to ‘Break-Up’ episode

There’s no question that there have been plenty of emotions among the “Glee” faithful to Thursday’s episode that was all about break-ups, and in many ways we understand it. After all, we have become attached to many of these characters over the years, so too watch so many couples (Kurt/Blaine, Rachel/Finn, and Brittany/Santana) all seemingly end their relationships within the span of an hour was heart-wrenching. Does this mean that these relationships are over for good? Far from it. What we do have to realize here, however, is that it is still going to be a long journey for these characters to figure out who they are in this world before they know whether or not someone else fits into it.

So what does Lea Michele have to say about the episode overall in retrospect? She does not get into details in her new post on Twitter, but it does look like the actress can separate her respect for the art from her desire to see Finn and Rachel together in the short-term:

“Such an emotional episode! Probably my favorite episode yet.. Loved it so much. Hope you guys did too!”

So far, it’s fair to say that reaction to the hour has been mixed. Many people appreciated the fact that even though there were tears, the stories were handled well and that no one broke up without a reason behind it. However, there are also fans who have threatened to never watch the show again over the fact that Ryan Murphy chose to drop so many bombs on people within such a short amount of time. Both he and many of the actors on the show have opted to be quiet online since the episode aired, with Michele being one of the few who has said anything at all. after the fact. The only thing many of them have done is announce the auction that is going on of some signed tissue boxes, with the proceeds going to charity.
