‘American Idol’ season 12: Statement issued on Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj
Are Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj really at war with each other at the moment on the set of “American Idol”? If you believe the newest statement just released by the producers of the hit Fox reality show, the answer here is a pretty clear “no.”
Specifically, here is what Nigel Lythgoe and company had to say while wearing their best pair of positive pants ever:
“This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we’ve ever had. We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next ‘American Idol.’ Despite all the accusations and media speculation — much of which is inaccurate — production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge.”
The fact that they use the word “inaccurate” is rather surprising, mostly due to three pieces of evidence that suggest that there is at least some sort of beef going on between Mariah and Nicki:
1. The video that clearly showed the two exchanging some heated words during the Charlotte auditions.
2. Barbara Walters saying on “The View” that Mariah told her that the “Super Bass” rapper threatened her to a certain degree.
2. The long rant about Carey that Minaj posted on Twitter, which blasted what the singer said to Walters while claiming that she didn’t need anyone else to fight her battles for her.
Then again, we have a feeling that what the producers are referring to with the word “inaccurate” are the accusations that this entire fight was orchestrated to bring the show press, and we do believe that much of this aspect has been blown out of proportion. While “American Idol” has not exactly swept this drama under the rug (this statement in itself proves that), we surely don’t think that they went to Mariah or Nicki and told one of them to cause problems.
So you think there is a winner in this “American Idol” feud?
Hep.

So,it is now the media fault…what hogwash!….the real loser here are the long time fans of this show and with each year that fan base grows smaller..who can blame us,last year for the most part was boring as all get out…the judging?..has not been any two years and this year will be no different…oh no doubt people in the beginning will tune in to watch, they can’t resist a live train wreck but in the months that follow the ratings will drop like a sinking ship…it is like sailing on the Titanic, iceberg dead ahead and it is one voyage i will not make…Pink wigs and fights and other gimmicks will not stop them from taking on water…

The biggest losers in American Idol are the contestants who have to compete with each other and the judges.
