‘Glee’: How Naya Rivera, Heather Morris are using ‘Break-Up’ for good

If you watched Thursday night’s episode of “Glee” and love any of the show’s central couples, then odds are that you are probably not feeling particularly happy right now. So would a set of tissues help … especially if the box has been signed by one of the couples that ended up meeting their end during the episode?

Rather than dealing with all of negativity and criticism that has come from the end of Kurt and Blaine, Brittany and Rachel, and Rachel and Finn for at least the time being, all of the actors involved in this episode are actually looking to give back now for a good cause. IYou can bid on signed tissue boxed by Heather Morris and Naya Rivera, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele, and Darren Criss and Chris Colfer. All of the proceeds from these audctions are going to charity, and as of this writing, some of the bidding on the items has already exceeded $1,000. That’s not bad, especially considering how many people threatened to actually stop watching the show after the episode aired.

While it may be painful to see these couples apart for the time being, we like to think that “Glee” and executive producer Ryan Murphy have a master plan. Sometimes, you have to spend some time apart in order to be better together at the end of the day, and that may be exactly what we are looking at here. Take Finn and Rachel for an example: Finn needs some time to figure out who he is and the person that he wants to become, and he obviously feels as though he cannot have Rachel figure it out for him. Meanwhile, Blaine needs to learn from his mistakes (which are similar to what Kurt did to him with Chandler, but on a far different level), and Brittany and Santana merely separated before things became awkward for them.
