Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 21 promo: Interrogation antics
The promo below, alas, is short — apparently, someone at the network has decided that ten or so seconds is enough to convince casual people to tune in. Maybe that is true, though personally we wish that we’d get another ten or fifteen. Wouldn’t it be great to just have a little more in the way of what’s actually coming here? The moment highlighted in the promo comes via the interrogation room, where Danny paints an odd situation of a man who was apparently out for revenge for whoever was sleeping with his wife, even though he may have a separate girlfriend of his own. Steve and Danny have themselves a little bit of a chuckle as a result of this.

Five-0 investigates the murder of a man whose body may hold the key to a 20-year-old case involving a kidnapped girl whose father never stopped looking for her.
Despite the comedic approach to the promo, here’s your reminder that there is some actually serious stuff going down in this promo and this episode has a lot of emotional, poignant stuff that it’s going to be exploring. Our hope is that as this story moves along, we’re going to have some great opportunities to see the writers really tackle a lot of this in a way that really pulls at the heartstrings and shows a great emotional undercurrent behind it. Few shows really do manage to give you this action, and then also a reason for the action, quite like this one … while also making you laugh on a number of little spots along the way.
There are five episodes still to come this season, so don’t look at the number 21 here and start to panic thinking “oh my god, we’re this close to the finale?” — there’s going to be a little bit more of this season still. Hawaii Five-0 somehow is continuing its extreme act of doing 25 episodes in a single season. We don’t know how exactly they are pulling this off but one way or another, they are finding a way and rolling with it.
