Blue Bloods season 9, SEAL Team season 2, more finale dates set
Before we venture any further, there are a couple of things to note — unless otherwise specified, all times listed are Eastern. Adjust accordingly for your part of the country. Also, unless otherwise noted these are season finales. CBS likes to do a mega-renewal for a lot of their shows at once, but other than a select few like Magnum PI, The Neighborhood, and God Friended Me, most are still in limbo.
Without further ado, let’s get to talking about these shows!
Monday, April 1
9:00 – Magnum PI
No April Fool’s gag here — Magnum PI is actually ending this early in the season. It had a shorter episode order than some of the network’s other scripted shows.
Thursday, April 11
9:30 – Fam
Never heard of it? With a name like Fam, not even Nina Dobrev can save it from its utter lack of press?
Sunday, April 14
8:00 – God Friended Me
Sunday, April 21
10:00 – Madam Secretary
This season of Madam Secretary is running only 20 episodes, two fewer than it has in the past. This allows CBS to plug other programming in at the end of the season.
Monday, April 22
8:00 – The Neighborhood
Monday, May, 6
8:30 – Man with a Plan
Thursday, May 9
9:00 – Mom
Mom is a rare example of an established show that already has a renewal — it’s coming back for two more seasons, in fact!
Friday, May 10
8:00 – MacGyver
10:00 – Blue Bloods
Monday, May 13
10:00 – Bull
Tuesday, May 14
9:00 – FBI
For those wondering why FBI is ending before NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans, it doesn’t have the same number of episodes in its order. Those two shows are at 24, whereas FBI is at 22.
Wednesday, May 15
8:00 – Survivor
10:00 – Survivor Reunion
This is a little bit unusual for CBS — typically, Survivor concludes on the final Wednesday of May sweeps! Doing it a week early probably coincides with Edge of Extinction premiering a little bit earlier in the year than usual.
Thursday, May 16
8:00 – The Big Bang Theory (series finale)
9:00 – Young Sheldon
10:00 – SWAT
While The Big Bang Theory is ending, Young Sheldon will be getting a little older — it has already been renewed through to season 4!
Friday, May 17
10:00 – Hawaii Five-0
While not confirmed as of yet by CBS, the later start time here indicates that Hawaii Five-0 may be getting a two-hour finale. It’s airing later in the spring than its Friday companions simply because it has more episodes! Showrunner Peter M. Lenkov officially confirmed to CarterMatt that the order is 25.
Sunday, May 19
10:00 – NCIS: Los Angeles
NCIS: Los Angeles is going to be moving to this later timeslot following the premiere of The Red Line, a limited series event in late April.
Tuesday, May 21
8:00 – NCIS
10:00 – NCIS: New Orleans
Wednesday, May 22
10:00 – SEAL Team
This is the final day of sweeps, and SEAL Team is airing oddly on an island, separate from a Survivor lead-in.
Saturday, June 1
8:00 – Ransom
Ransom is a Canadian acquisition; CBS doesn’t care about sweeps anywhere near as much here.
