Think back to the first Dynasty season 2 episode 14 promo that aired earlier this month. One thing stands out in your brain: Paris. This was a chance to see France, or at least the show interpretation of it. this is a chance to see some humor. Yet, amidst everything lies a series purpose, a goal that must be achieved. Within this world, there’s always a mission, and underneath that mission, there is a secret. Trying to understand motivations are fundamental to the show’s success, as is trying to ascertain what the next move could potentially be.
This episode will give you a few next moves … but also still raise questions about what the move is beyond the next move. It is also the first story of many, give that our expectation suggests that there will be very few repeats the rest of the way. One story will bleed into the next, from March 15 (the series’ return date) onward towards the finale. This is a series with a 22-episode order, and there are still nine to go. You have to find a place to fit many of these in. It makes sense for The CW to construct their stack this way — the long hiatuses may be terrible, but the momentum allowed by a straight-shot of episodes through the string should prove immensely satisfying.
Now, if you are curious to receive a few specific, but somehow still vague, details for what lies, the Dynasty season 2 episode 14 synopsis allows that:
EVERYTHING’S GOING TO BE OKAY – As Blake (Grant Show) seeks justice in the wake of a disturbing crime, Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) and Sam (Rafael De La Fuente) covertly fly to Paris to investigate the truth behind a distressing phone call. Nicollette Sheridan, Robert Christopher Riley, Ana Brenda Contreras, Maddison Brown, Alan Dale, and Sam Adegoke also star. Sallie Patrick and Jenna Richman wrote the episode, which was directed by Pascal Verschooris (#214). Original airdate 3/15/2019.
There you have it: The foundation, and now there are a good few weeks of waiting before this foundation will start to crack and expose some unwanted truths. It’ll be a while still before said foundation, whether it be for Blake, Fallon, or anyone else, is entirely blown up … such is the way when you’ve got a finale cliffhanger to still establish and the potential that comes with a season 3. That renewal is solidified, and that pressure is gone for the writers. In its place lies something else essential: The path from point A to point B. How the writers sculpt that will determine the strength of the series from here on out.

Then we suggest taking a gander at the article here — that’s where we explain even further the importance of these hiatuses, frustrating as they may be.
