Shadowhunters season 3: Harry Shum Jr., cast on upcoming episodes, finale

If you look below, you can see a new interview with Entertainment Tonight featuring four of the show’s core cast members — Harry Shum Jr., Alberto Rosende, Dominic Sherwood, and Isaiah Mustafa. There are a lot of different topics throughout the video, as they talk about favorite episodes, the experience of filming the final episodes of the season, and the enthusiasm that the fans have had for the show and some of the work that they’ve done to bring attention to it — including purchasing billboards with their own money! That’s passion!
One suggestion that Mustafa makes in this video is coming back for movies down the line — this leads to a funny discussion about future stories for the characters, but it is actually a semi-realistic concept. It’s something that Timeless just did and we’re currently seeing Psych do it over on USA Network. While it wouldn’t be the same as a proper season 4, we do think it’s something that should be explored down the line if the interest is there.
While there is a sadness that the show is seemingly ending at Freeform, there is one thing that the cast states here time and time again: Gratitude that the show has been on the air for as long as it has and also the satisfaction that there is still a desire for more. It’s better to leave viewers wanting more than lasting for so long that viewers no longer have interest. There are certainly a number of examples of shows that have overstayed their welcome over the years and, because of that, aren’t anywhere near as impactful as they once were.
There are twelve episodes still to come for Shadowhunters season 3, and that includes the epic two-part finale that was ordered on the other side of the back ten episodes of the season. Hopefully, all of these stories give you plenty of action, some romantic moments, and also great performances from all of the cast. We want moments to celebrate, moments of love and moments that have us deeply invested for our favorites.
