While you may not be seeing TNT Boys perform again on The World’s Best until next week, there’s something else that is very fun that is worth discussing today!

If you look below, you can see the three boys from the Philippines receive the surprise of their lives on The Late Late Show with James Corden. In the middle of a performance of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” (pretty much one of the hardest songs to do ever), Ariana Grande steps out and surprises them! It’s a chance for the boys to meet one of their singing idols, a superstar who is at the top of her game right now with the top three songs on the Billboard Hot 100. She greets them and, amazingly, they’re able to keep their composure and finish the song. That’s actually the most impressive thing here given that it would’ve been perfectly normal for them to just freak out under those specific circumstances.
This video is wonderful for two different ways — the quality of the performance, coupled with the fact that they carry the performance through and Grande even sings along with them for a moment! This has to be a big highlight for the trio, who are already stars in their home country and have performed at this point on several different continents. Despite being so young, they’ve done and accomplished so much.
The next challenge for TNT Boys is going to be just seeing if they can conquer the next round of The World’s Best in the Battle Rounds, which officially kicks off on CBS tonight following the premiere of Survivor. This will allow us a chance in order to see how this phase works before TNT Boys eventually take the stage. There’s some tough competition out there, but we wouldn’t bet against them moving forward to the next round.
TNT Boys interview – Yesterday, we actually interviewed the TNT Boys! Be prepared to come back on Friday for both a written interview and a video discussion of them moving forward to the next phase of the competition. Fingers crossed for their next performance!
