Magnum PI episode 16 preview: ‘Murder is Never Quiet’

Curious to know what lies ahead on Magnum PI episode 16, which carries with it the title of “Murder Is Never Quiet”? If so, we are happy to come bearing a little bit of information about what should prove to be a pretty intense hour of TV. Rather than it being a case solely about solving a murder, it’s instead going to revolve around proving that someone else didn’t commit the crime. There’s a lot to unpack here, and there’s also a side story for Rick and TC that could prove to be rather personal.

Below, CBS has the official Magnum PI episode 16 synopsis with some additional news regarding what lies ahead:

“Murder Is Never Quiet” – Magnum is hired by a woman to prove that her son didn’t kill his girlfriend and has only 24 hours to do so before the accused accepts a plea deal. Also, Rick and TC try to recover stolen appliances that were donated to a wounded veteran, on MAGNUM P.I., Monday, Feb. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.\

In the aftermath of Jordana Brewster’s first appearance on the show tonight, we do wonder if Magnum will be in a slightly-different emotional place for this episode. A significant hole in the character’s past will be filled in, and that helps to further explain why he is the way that he is. Even if there aren’t any explicit mentions of the past within this episode, there is a certain amount of subtext and we do think that this means something.

One more thing that is important to remember at this point in the season is that we actually are not all that far away from the very end of the road! There are only twenty episodes in this particular season as a whole and we like to think that we are at that point in the narrative now where just about every single episode means something a little bit more than it would otherwise. We’re building towards something, and with a season 2 renewal already official, we know that there are some episodes coming on the other side of the finale.
