In the sneak peek below, you can get a reasonably good sense of what is coming up this time around, at least in terms of a devastating storm that is rocking the islands. Steve recognizes that the potential for crime is high, and he wants to task Junior and Tani with getting out on the streets, dangerous as it may be.
Yet, there is also a much larger issue that is going to present itself over the course of this episode, and it is a little something known as an extremely dangerous criminal who high-ranking government officials want stored away with Five-0 until the storm passes. The problem that comes along with that is that 1) this takes away potential space from other people who are trying their best to get shelter from the storm and 2) it puts even more pressure on McGarrett and his team to make sure nothing crazy happens. Unfortunately, we already know that something will, given that the promotional material for this episode more or less gives away the fact that we’re going to be seeing this prisoner escape and find their way out into the storm. The question then becomes how hard do you really work in pursuit of this criminal, and then in turn how okay you end up being in just letting the hurricane run its course on the guy. Steve doesn’t want to do that, mostly because he thinks the criminal dying in the hurricane is almost too easy a way for him to go.
We can imagine that visually, this episode had to be a tricky one to shoot. They can’t exactly film during an actual hurricane, so trying to replicate that had to be a particularly difficult challenge for just about everyone involved.
On the other side of this episode, remember as well that there are two installments airing on February 22. That means that there’s a heck of a lot to look forward to, and we’re certainly excited to watch some of those stories play out in the future.
